Apartment Construction ADA Sign Project
When an Apartment building is remodeled, there’s always a need for ADA compliant signage. We recently worked alongside Signs PDQ, our sister company, on the Waverly Apartments project with Mistick Construction .
Mistick Construction’s revamp of The Waverly Apartments required ADA compliant room signs, wayfinding signs, building directory signs and even an exterior Monument Sign. The goal with any sign project is always to make the client happy. For this project, and this client, that meant:
- Meeting all ADA requirements, to be sure the building would be in compliance.
- Creating clear signage that would easily guide all visitors to, and through, the building.
- Meeting the client’s aesthetic needs. Matching colors and matching materials)
- Providing the finished product on schedule.
- Offering the finished signs at a price that worked with the budget.
ADA Signs Wholesale and Signs PDQ have been working together for over 20 years to bring our clients the best TRUE wholesale prices on custom ADA Signs.
Over the years, we have become experts on creating, customizing and installing ADA compliant signage.
Signs PDQ was, and still is, a full service sign shop based in Ohio. We’ve been providing all sorts of custom business signs, ranging from banners to building signs to electrical signs to Vehicle wraps and graphics to yard signs to traffic signs … and the list goes on and on, for many years!
Naturally, a very important part of our sign product capabilities list is ADA Compliant Signage with Tactile and Braille. Why is ADA compliant signage so important? Federal, State and Local laws require all businesses to post ADA compliant signs, thanks to the The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a Federal Law ensuring that those with special needs have proper access to public places and facilities.
Initially, we didn’t manufacture our own ADA compliant signs at Signs PDQ. Like many sign shops, we reached out to wholesalers to cover the ADA sign portions of our sign projects. Unfortunately, we found that our sign shop would lose money on the ADA portion of our sign projects because the wholesale companies weren’t charging us true wholesale prices, even though we were buying large quantities of their signs.
We understood the cost of creating signs and we understood that the ADA compliant signs had to have special features and meet specific requirements, but why couldn’t we get high quality custom compliant ADA signs at true wholesale prices? We were happy to take on projects requiring ADA compliant signs, but, since we couldn’t get true wholesale prices, Signs PDQ would sometimes have to forgo profits on certain portions of large sign projects. Like everyone else, we have bills to pay, too. We searched everywhere for a real ADA sign wholesale solution, but we didn’t have much luck.
Don and Brenda O’Toole, the owners of Signs PDQ, did what they always do when faced with a roadblock, they found a way through it. ADA Signs Wholesale was born. Don, Brenda and their team already knew a great deal about ADA Signage compliance, but they studied everything they could find about ADA rules and regulations. Additionally, they purchased and mastered the equipment needed to create custom ADA compliant signs.
Today ADA Signs Wholesale and Signs PDQ sells custom ADA and Braille business signage to Northeastern Ohio, including: Cuyahoga County, Lake County, Akron and Cleveland, Ohio… and to any business through the world. Let us guide you through selecting and installing ADA compliant signage for your business.
